Commercial UAV Expo 2022: LiDAR drones revolutionize surveying

At the Las Vegas Convention Center (September 6-8, 2022), the show highlighted new LiDAR drone solutions for surveying and construction.

Commercial UAV Expo Americas 2022 brought together 3,500 professionals and 170 exhibitors at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The show confirmed the maturity of LiDAR drones for professional surveying. YellowScan presented the Mapper+, a combined LiDAR-camera sensor for centimeter-level drone mapping. DJI Enterprise launched the Zenmuse L2 with improved accuracy. Wingtra, with its vertical takeoff WingtraOne GEN II drone, demonstrated coverage of 300 hectares in a single flight. Training sessions covered photogrammetric processing with Pix4D and point cloud post-processing with CloudCompare.
