INTERGEO 2022 in Essen: Return to in-person and next-gen scanners

After two editions disrupted by the pandemic, INTERGEO 2022 in Essen (October 18-20) marked the grand return to in-person with 15,000 visitors.

INTERGEO 2022 in Essen was a turning point for the industry with the post-pandemic return to normalcy. Leica unveiled the BLK ARC, a laser scan module designed to be mounted on robots and drones. FARO presented the Focus S Plus with 50% reduced scan times. Topcon and Sokkia showed their new robotic total stations with photogrammetric integration. The drone segment exploded with corridor solutions for linear infrastructure inspection (pipelines, power lines). Riegl dominated the airborne LiDAR segment with the VQ-780 II.
